ADC Contemporary Art is excited to announce the opening of our first Open international Artists Call ‘s “OPEN MIND” selected by the international jury: Lisa Melandri – Brent Turner – Laura Feinsilver – Evelyn Pener and Jaime Delfin Villafuerte.

The exhibition was created to showcase new and established international contemporary artists. They bring something new and unique to the art world today and we are glad to present their work for the world to see.

The exhibition will present a very interesting compilation of drawings by Gamez, a main installation by Collins and a video art by Mundwiler.

Kandace Collins, in her installation Relief, she is using thousands of wax fragments. Collins states that her, “current work is an invitation into her psychological space. Collins is a recent graduate of Southern Oregon University where she earned a bachelor of fine arts in sculpture. In 2009, she
was a recipient of the prestigious International Sculpture Center Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award.

Sebastian Mundwiler, his video art “The escalator” takes us to a simple view of a ordinary day and the associated expectation of being led up to the next floor. The work shows the artist a seemingly endless ongoing escalator. Deconstructed in its appearance, we see a machine that is able to transport hundreds of thousands of people. The work is the tension between illusion, confusion and lifelike image. He was born in Switzerland.

Esther Gamez, was born in Sonora Mexico. She did her art studies at the Art School obtaining her degree in Visual Arts with a major on etching. In her recent project Fuschia, she works on a series of drawings about the femininity and feminist dilemma.
